Should've, Could've
I saw a green fan at a garage sale this weekend, nearly identical to the one we remember so fondly, only in pristine condition as opposed to ours, which looked like it was on it's last leg.
Should've bought it.
Could've at least taken a picture of it to post here.

Okay, you two - being teachers - will commiserate with this. How many times did you see kids (or even adults for that matter) write "would've" or "could've" as "would of" or "could of"...
I 'could of' done that, but I didn't want to. That is definitely one of my grammatical pet peeves. Thanks for letting me vent...
I don't know what I would of done if I couldn't of done it.
K, that one doesn't bother me, but the improper use of their, they're, and there drives me up the wall.
